Who we are.

I am Kat O'Connor, a single human being who occasionally freelances or looks for work, hence this Portfolio Website.

The data I collect.

IF and only if you choose to contact me via my email address or a contact form on this website, you will be sending me personal information such as your name, contact information, and your query. This information will be used to reply to you in order to answer your query. If you engage my services, I will continue to use your information to complete the work you requested and to communicate with you about it. At the point where I am doing work for you, I may require credit card information for payment though a third-party payment portal. I typically do not retain your credit card information unless you opt-in through the payment portal. Your personal information will not be sold to third parties, nor will I share it unless you request me to do so in writing (e.g. asking me to refer you to another freelancer or service, agreeing to use the payment portal). I may display the work I do for you on this Portfolio Website, on social media, or other types of portfolios or displays of art or professional capabilities.

Cookies.

This website is built on WordPress; as such it requires a handful of Strictly Necessary cookies for basic site functionality and simple analytics to tell me what pages are getting visits. I am not an IT professional and wouldn't even know how to install tracking or marketing cookies.

Embedded content from other websites.

On the extremely rare occasion that I include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, social media, etc.) on a page, embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

No one, unless you request me to do so in writing. See "The data I collect" above.

How long I retain your data.

If you contact me via my email address or a contact form on this website, your communications will be retained indefinitely. This is to facilitate any future communications with you, and to keep a record of our communications in the event of a future dispute.

If you make an account through the third-party payment portal to make a payment to me, your personal data shared with that third-party is subject to their privacy policy.

What rights you have over your data.

If you have previously contacted me via my email address or a contact form on this website, you can request to receive an overview of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes -- see "How long I retain your data" above.

Where your data is sent.

Communications submitted through a contact form on this website may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Payments and associated information made through a third-party payment portal are shared with the payment service and subject to that service's privacy policy.

Otherwise, it truly is just me.
